About Ahmad
Ahmad Gaied currently serves as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL) and is seeking re-election at the upcoming OFL Convention.
As an African-Arab, Black-racialized, and Muslim man, Ahmad has been a champion for equity, inclusion, and justice throughout his years in the labour movement and his tenure as an OFL Officer.
In his role as Secretary-Treasurer, Ahmad has worked to strengthen the OFL’s financial stability, ensuring that every dollar supports the fight for workers’ rights. His leadership has helped the Federation resource campaigns, provide affiliate support, and give voice to communities, while maintaining sound fiscal management and responsibility.
Rooted in his lived experience, and a deep connection to communities, Ahmad continues to build with rank-and-file workers, offering unwavering support wherever they are organizing, fighting back, and building collective power together.
